Kyle Mecca, DMD, MBA, MS, is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, distinguished
by his extensive education, professional experience, and commitment to community service.
Recently relocating to Southern California, Dr. Mecca is originally from Scranton, PA. During
college, he worked as a surgical assistant in an oral surgery practice for 4 years, which fostered
his passion for dentistry.
Dr. Mecca’s educational journey began at the University of Scranton, where he earned a Bachelor
of Science in Biology. He continued his studies at the University of Scranton, obtaining a Master
of Science in Clinical Chemistry. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from LECOM
School of Dental Medicine in Bradenton, Florida, where he also met his future wife Dr. Kaylee
Pollitt.
Following his dental education, Dr. Mecca pursued advanced training through several internships
and residencies. He completed a General Practice Residency at Rochester General Hospital.
Subsequently, he undertook two consecutive one-year internships in Oral and Maxillofacial
Surgery at Strong Memorial Hospital, part of the University of Rochester. Dr. Mecca then
completed a four-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Strong Memorial Hospital.
He gained extensive training in anesthesia, dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, bone grafting,
oral pathology, and reconstructive and corrective jaw surgery. During his residency, he pursued
an Executive MBA at the Simon Business School, University of Rochester. This unique
combination of medical and business education has equipped Dr. Mecca with a comprehensive
understanding of both clinical practice and healthcare management.
Dr. Mecca is committed to patient safety and is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support,
Advanced Trauma Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Basic Life Support,
underscoring his readiness to handle critical situations in the clinical environment.
Dr. Mecca has actively engaged in research and published articles contributing to the
understanding of maxillofacial injuries and their treatment. In addition to his professional
accomplishments, Dr. Mecca is deeply committed to community service and is an active member
of his local and national dental and surgery societies.

In his spare time, Dr. Mecca and his wife enjoy traveling, fitness, golfing, and trying new
restaurants. As self-proclaimed “foodies,” they are always looking for new places to try. Most
recently, they welcomed their daughter in December and are enjoying this exciting new chapter
as a family while settling into life in Southern California.
